In Horsens, at the front of Fængslet (The Prison), you’ll find a dining room. This special eatery is owned and run by local enthusiasts. This unique eatery deserves a special identity program to complement its raw prison surroundings.

Challenge
A new eatery with seasonal local produce needed a strong identity. But where do you begin when you’re located in a historical setting? We had to convey quality meals in a special and informal environment. At the same time, Spisehuset 8F wanted to be seen as an informal cafe, rather than a restaurant. As a result, we dived into the historical past of eateries for inspiration.
Solution
The entire identity package contained a logo, fonts, menu, postcards, order forms, website, social media, and other marketing materials.
We set out and dug our way out (a prison dad joke, obviously) with very happy results. We created a simple minimalist and masculine identity to match the The Prison existing identity and authentic rough environment .
The creative should match The Prisons authentic rough environment and avoid gimmicks as we greatly respect the owners of Spisehuset 8F for their passion of good food, and exceptional customer service.
