A campaign for a more sustainable future

In the context of the national transition to a new waste sorting system, the objective was to support renosyd in developing a campaign for the residents of Skanderborg and Odder. The campaign aimed to inform citizens about the requirement to sort 10 different types of waste and also to inspire them with the message that collective action can significantly impact the future of upcoming generations. It’s about creating awareness and instilling a sense of responsibility towards sustainable waste management.

Challenge

The challenge of the campaign was to engage citizens of all ages in Skanderborg and Odder, alleviating any concerns about the transition and the extra effort it requires. The initiative needed to adhere to renosyd’s core principles and communicate in a relatable manner, ensuring the message was approachable and not overly serious or didactic. It was essential to strike a balance between being informative and maintaining a tone that resonated with the residents without overwhelming them.

Solution

Under the slogan “Sammen om sortering”, the campaign communicates in a way that is on equal footing with the target audience. The use of friendly and accessible illustrations, especially designed for the campaign, ensures that the messaging appeals to everyone, allowing them to identify with the characters. The overall communication doesn’t take itself too seriously, which is evident through recurring characters like the renosyd dog, humorously portrayed as a super sorter in a lighthearted manner.
