There are many advantages to local production. Geberit Nordic knows this, so all their toilets and washbasins from the Nordic brands Ifö, IDO and Porsgrund are produced in Sweden and Finland. But does everyone else know the advantages? YdePlus were given the task to spread the message – make a film that shows Geberit Nordic’s local production and why it’s great!

Challenge

Geberit’s local production means a short journey from the factory to their customers with the least possible CO2 emissions due to short transport and not least a fast and safe delivery. This message had to be conveyed in two formats: film and print ads.

Solution

In order to maintain the recognition of Geberit’s Nordic brands in the film, we brought forward a Geberit celebrity: the Ambassador, whom we know from the exciting B2B film concept. For the ads, we chose to include a real ambassador from the Finnish factory. We meet Robert, who gives the local production something personal, genuine and a feeling of being present and close by.

For the first time, we are taking the Ambassador from Ifö, IDO and Porsgrund out of the studio universe and into reality at Geberit’s factories, where he meets products and employees with great joy and interest.

Meet Robert – one of our specialized employees with indispensable knowledge and experience in the production of our ceramics. He works at our factory in Finland, where natural materials are transformed into unique products that we manufacture with great respect – for nature and for the installer. Our local production ensures a short journey from the factory to our customers with a lower CO2 load and not least a fast and safe delivery.

In addition to filming and photo shooting at Geberit’s factory in Finland, parts of the film were also shot in the studio, where the creative hands at YdePlus had created a miniature landscape of Finland. The landscape shows very concretely and explicitly the short journey from the factory to the consumer.
