Challenge
As an established player in the licensing industry, NLC faced the challenge of appearing more engaging and emotionally resonant to its stakeholders. The industry is often characterized by formal, expertise-driven communication styles, which can feel distant and rigid. For NLC, it was essential to differentiate itself from competitors and position itself as an organization that connects people and brands in a meaningful way. Additionally, they sought to highlight their unique value—bringing licensors and licensees together through a harmonious and reciprocal process that fosters both emotional connections and commercial success.
Solution
YdePlus developed a comprehensive visual and communicative identity that redefines NLC’s position in the market. The new brand design centers on the connection between licensors and licensees, symbolized by particle spheres that merge and create a powerful transformation—like a supernova. This metaphorical approach captures the essence of NLC’s work: bringing brands together to create new memories and value.
We introduced a sophisticated yet inviting design style, where fine, dotted particle clouds represent the emotional aspect, while a classic serif typeface conveys professionalism and experience. The spherical elements and gradient patterns add a playful dimension to the identity, while the warm color palette reinforces values such as collaboration and human interaction. The green accent color highlights NLC’s business focus.


The new tone of voice combines an approachable style with strong expertise. Rather than focusing on legal processes, the communication appeals to users’ emotions, reducing hesitation by placing people and relationships at the forefront. This distinguishes NLC from its competitors and reinforces its commitment to building sustainable, long-lasting partnerships.



As part of NLC’s new visual identity, we developed a set of unique icons based on the same concept as the spherical elements in the brand’s design universe.
